Ode to Pizza

I found this note from back in 1981 and thought I would add it here.

Mo, the magnificent

Ode to Pizza

So fine and warm

so rich and cheesy

You fill my soul

as well as my stomach

Pizza with everything

or pizza alone

you offer me all

without judging me

For sitting here

at the breakfast table

with four slices

nuked to perfection

Oh pizza my pizza... yum

yum! I ate all four slices and I know Romie is going to be pissed. But see I do know my brother better than any other soul out there. so I threw another pizza in the oven. Bake at home kinds aren't quite the same, but I think he'll understand. He always understands.

I know I don't get serious too often, but the other day I was really down, and he managed to cheer me up by inviting everyone over for a party. Okay so having everyone over started a brawl and pretty much trashed the whole valley, but it was fun. Acair stopped the brawl while Sgrios laughed his ass off at us mud wrestling.

The interesting thing was that us trashing the place, I think was a good thing. The next day Acair came around to everyone and asked our thoughts about setting up an official, up to date estate. They are still planning it all out, but from what I've seen it looks darn good. He's even tearing down the cabin to make room for this place. Sgrios wanted to be build underground for better defenses, but Acair pulled rank and declared that it will be above ground and spacious. I heard Allaidh say something about lot of windows.

I personally hope that he lets us keep separate homes. The idea of us all under one roof makes me itch. I know that if we are bumping into each other at every turn that tempers will run hot. As it is Allaidh and Acair are spittin' at each other and Adhar and Cradh are having another rough patch and Sgrios looks like he wants to kill something. In other words... well, here's hoping that we don't end up killing each other.

P.S. Just an update. The estate was built, and it isn't as bad as I was worried about. The house is a two story brick job with lots of windows. It stretches around in a U shape with I think twenty bedrooms. Hope and Athair have a suite in one wing even though they usually stay out at Keeper Hill near the Bear Clan. Dan and Rath both have rooms in the house but both seem to be away from the teaglach more often than not. After a few major problems, Acair agreed to let us build our own smaller houses. Romie and I share one that is about 200 feet behind the main house. The truth is that about all we do in our house is sleep and escape anybody who might be raising tensions at the main house, which was dubbed Black Rose Manor. Oh and Cradh and Adhar have a house across from ours. Romie calls it Gingerbread Hall because I swear it looks like it came right out of a fairytale. Well enough about that.
